Sales Executive to join their team. This role involves selling subscription services to a global customer base, providing sales demonstrations, and handling related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to learn about our client's products and gain an in-depth understanding of the offshore energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Conduct telephone, Teams, and in-person presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research sources to identify prospective customers and gather information to assess their potential.
- Create clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly.
- Coordinate sales efforts with sales management and technical service teams.
- Analyse market potential and evaluate the value of existing and prospective customers to the organisation.
- Plan and organise personal sales strategy to maximise the return on time investment.
- Provide management with reports on customer needs, interests, and competitive activities.
- Stay informed about our client's and competitors' products, market conditions, and promotional trends.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and webinars.
Work Activities:
- Respond quickly and efficiently to incoming email and phone inquiries.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers in person, by phone, and by email.
- Present products or services in a structured, professional manner, either face-to-face or online.
- Listen to customer requirements and present solutions to make sales.
- Conduct cold calling to prospect for new business.
- Act as a liaison between the company and existing and potential markets.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and close sales.
- Gather market and customer information and provide feedback to management.
- Represent our client at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
- Negotiate on price, costs, delivery, and specifications with buyers and managers.
- Manage objections to achieve sales goals.
- Advise on upcoming product developments and special promotions.
- Create detailed proposal documents as part of formal bidding processes.
- Record sales and order information and enter data into computer systems.
- Review sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide quotations.
- Feed future buying trends back to management.
- Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.
Experience & Skills:
- Sales background in an office environment with experience achieving targets.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience in contacting businesses by phone and in person.
