Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Sales Ledger to join our Finance team at our Spalding site. This will be on a fixed term contract running until July 2025.

Responsible for maintaining and recording accurate records for Sales Ledger.  Maintaining and promoting good working relationships with internal stakeholders and offering a high standard of customer service.

As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the business, and will report directly to the Purchase/Sales Ledger Supervisor.

This is a full time, fixed term position working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.

Job responsibilities of Sales Ledger include:

To generate the weekly auto invoice runs from operational computer system.
To generate weekly and monthly invoices and associated reports for main supermarket accounts.
To originate pre-invoice information to send to Customers for agreement, ensuring timely despatching of invoices.
Set-up new shippers on Enterprise.
To produce sales invoices for fuel, vehicle wash, rent & recharges.
Issue & action zero reports sent to relevant Managers for Customer rates.
Update & maintain Customer rates in the operating system.
Liaise with Traffic Office and Customers to ensure prompt resolution of queries.
To manage un-invoiced levels on a weekly basis.
Produce ad hoc reports and complete general Sales Ledger Duties.

Qualifications

To apply for the role of Sales Ledger, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

Experience of Sales Ledger
Working to strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
Good Knowledge of MS Packages
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Planning and organising own work activities.
Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
Team working skills.
Proficiency in Excel with emphasis on spread sheets, formulae, and pivot tables.
