Location: ESSEX

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (plus quarterly and annual bonuses)

Are you a motivated and experienced Sales Manager with a background in crane hire or construction-related services? We are a leading provider of crane hire solutions for the construction industry, and we're looking for a talented Sales Manager to help drive business growth across Essex, London, and the South East.



This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take ownership of our sales strategy, customer relationships, and business development activities.



Role Description:



As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales revenue by developing and implementing effective strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and building strong customer relationships. Your goal is to ensure that we meet and exceed our sales targets while working closely with the operations team to guarantee smooth project execution.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales plans to grow the crane hire business.

  • Manage Sales Team: Lead, motivate, and oversee the performance of the sales team.

  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, particularly within the construction sector.

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, and construction companies.

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Liaison with Operations: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure projects run efficiently.

  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.



Key Requirements:




  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in external sales within the construction or crane hire industry. Experience with mobile cranes, lifting equipment, and plant hire is essential.

  • Book of Business: Ideally, have a portfolio of existing clients and business contacts within the Essex/London/South East area.

  • New Business Development: Track record of successfully generating new business and driving revenue growth.

  • Customer Relationships: Strong experience selling to main contractors, sub-contractors, installers, and developers.

  • Sales Leadership: Ability to manage and develop a high-performing sales team.

  • Sales Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • IT literate (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Numerate with strong attention to detail.
