Location: Trafford Park, Manchester (this role will require regular travel)



Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Role Responsibilities:



As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:




  • Identifying and targeting direct European customers, focusing on the personal care/cosmetics market

  • Travelling approx. 50% of your time to build customer relationships

  • Maintaining and updating the CRM to build a global customer pool

  • Executing the sales strategy to take biosurfactants to mass market

  • Collaborating with manufacturing to ensure product availability for customers

  • Communicating market drivers to the CTO for commercially led product development.





Role Requirements:



The successful Sales Manager will have:




  • Direct experience in personal care and cosmetic sales via consultative selling

  • A proven record in closing consultative selling deals

  • An in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles e.g., supply chain, customer service etc



               Desirable:




  • Experience with fermentations and/or surfactants

  • A technical background, such as a relevant scientific qualification or equivalent

  • Previous experience in Agriculture, Household or I&I markets
