Our client, specializing in the developing and manufacturing subsea equipment are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join their team on a full-time staff basis to drive growth and market presence.

ROLE

This role is crucial for driving growth and expanding the clients market presence both domestically and internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including foreign partners and agencies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs.

Sales Management:


  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Client Relationship Management:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Collaboration and Coordination:


  • Asist in the writing of marketing documentation to support the companies’ products.
  • Attend trade shows/fairs to market company products and liaise with potential customers.
  • Identify trade shows which would be good marketing opportunities for the company
  • Organise stands at trade shows and liaise with engineering team and partner companies to develop product demonstrations and marketing materials.
  • Assist in the authoring of academic papers, attending relevant conferences and periodically presenting papers to support company internal and external objectives.

Reporting and Analysis:


  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management ideally within the subsea market but not essential.
  • Understanding of international markets and experience working with foreign partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Fluency in English language is essential for this position due to the international nature of the company’s supplier, client and partner activity.
  • Willingness to build and grow together with the company.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally by email, on the phone and in person.
  • Respond quickly to changes in priorities, manage ongoing tasks and priorities.
  • Follow instruction while also leading and improving company systems & procedures.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment.
  • Knowledge of, or background in, electronics and their use in the subsea environment.
  • Understanding of system integration
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
