Our client, specializing in the developing and manufacturing subsea equipment are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join their team on a full-time staff basis to drive growth and market presence.
ROLE
This role is crucial for driving growth and expanding the clients market presence both domestically and internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including foreign partners and agencies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs.
Sales Management:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Asist in the writing of marketing documentation to support the companies’ products.
- Attend trade shows/fairs to market company products and liaise with potential customers.
- Identify trade shows which would be good marketing opportunities for the company
- Organise stands at trade shows and liaise with engineering team and partner companies to develop product demonstrations and marketing materials.
- Assist in the authoring of academic papers, attending relevant conferences and periodically presenting papers to support company internal and external objectives.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management ideally within the subsea market but not essential.
- Understanding of international markets and experience working with foreign partners.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment.
- Knowledge of, or background in, electronics and their use in the subsea environment.
