Sales & Operations Planning Manager, Food Manufacturing Cheshire West £40,000 - £65,000 Make an impact on a food manufacturing business as the S&OP Manager by analysing & implementing operational improvements that will take them to the next level. As the Sales and Operations Planning Manager for a busy food manufacturing site you ll report into the Site Manager. This role will suit a Supply Chain professional who has worked as a S&OP Manager, Sales Planner, or a Demand/Forecasting Planner with experience of working in a UK Food manufacturing environment. My client is a well-respected and established food manufacturing business in Cheshire West. The business manufactures a wide variety of quality food products that covers a range of categories and services all sectors across the food industry. Day-to-day you ll be responsible for supporting and leading the sales and operations planning processes for the supply and demand on site. You ll ensure that the business is operating at their maximum productivity levels whilst maintaining a low inventory value with minimal overstocks. Initially you ll investigate and establish a detailed understanding of the food manufacturing site s capacity, along with its limitations. With this knowledge you ll be the go-to person in the business and will advise on their future sales focus whilst driving operational efficiency and continuous Improvements. You will lead the sales and operations planning processes on site by working closely with production, sales, and supply chain teams, you ll analyse demand planning, scheduling, productivity, service levels and align relevant processes. You ll lead the on-site demand, supply and the pre-S&OP meetings and facilitate all the improvements processes needed in the business. To be considered for this role you will need: A broad depth of knowledge in all areas of supply chain within a Food manufacturing environment Proven experience of managing cross-functional projects with strong stakeholder management skills An analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving with a good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint software Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating an accurate business overview with your recommendations for improvement The role is site based initially with an opportunity to review hybrid working when the successful professional fully understands the operation and the business.
