Opportunities to think out-of-the-box will present themselves daily, all the while maintaining the overall solution and business requirements of the solution.On some occasions, on-site presence will be needed, offering direct contact with the client and the business itself.All Applicants MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role. Responsibilities under this role include the following:Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, leveraging expertise in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.Ensure Coding Standards and Best Practices are being adhered to and followed by self and the developers religiously, including DevOps guidelines.Implement CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines in Salesforce using industry best practices.Architect and design solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform, including declarative configuration, Apex coding, Vlocity, Omniscript, Lightning components, and integrations with external systems.Conduct code reviews, perform quality assurance checks, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and system administrators, to deliver integrated solutions that meet business requirements and drive value.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, provide support during testing and deployment and ensure the stability and performance of Salesforce applications.Work with project managers to manage project scope, timeline, and budget to ensure successful project delivery.Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights and recommendations to optimise their Salesforce investment.Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends, and provide thought leadership to the team and clients.Mentor and coach junior developers, providing guidance on technical skills, project management, and consulting best practices.Essential technical skills & experience:Must be UK-based and have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years in order to be eligible for NPPV3 clearance.A minimum of 5 years of Salesforce Development experience with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.Salesforce administration experience, including current certification and proven experience with the core product, is essential.Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce development tools and technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, and Salesforce DX, essentialExperience with different integration methods and APISalesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect are desirable.Additional current Salesforce certifications - including but not limited to Marketing Cloud Administrator, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, desirableExperience with Salesforce PSS is desirable.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools such as Jira.Soft skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and project teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail-Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively in a combination of in office and remote working environments.Your normal hours of work will be between 8:00 and 18:00, with an hour to be taken for lunch. You will work a 40-hour week within this time period; start and finish times will depend on what is agreed upon with your Line Manager. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to adjust or exceed your normal working hours in order to meet the requirements of your job.You are entitled to 25 paid holidays per year. Bank and public holidays (eight days in total) are in addition to your annual holiday entitlement.
