FDM is a global business and technology consultancy looking for a Principal SAP Developer in Birmingham to work for our client within the public sector.We are seeking a Principal SAP Developer to design and deliver a new platform; this role will require someone with strong stakeholder management skills to collect and analyse user requirements. You will shape a design and test the solution and continuously improve the systems once in production.You will be proactive, result oriented, structured and able to operate under pressure in a changing environmentKey Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership to the department on the productsRegular engagement with the stakeholder community, particularly our business units, through working groups and communities of practiceLead and develop a team of experts to deliver service improvements Evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes setting the strategy and standards to be followedHold technical responsibility for all stages and iterations of development projects. Offer technical advice to stakeholders and establish team-based standards for programming tools and techniquesEstablish and enforce modern development standards throughout solution design and build. Provide guidance on applying standards and methods to ensure complianceOffer tier 3 support, identify, locate, and fix faults across the platform. Mentor service desk staff to enable them to provide support and create a pathway for future developersSupport the design and development of Finance product roadmaps to ensure platform maintenance, data utilisation, and the innovation of new featuresEssential for the role:Minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven track record in SAP DevelopmentStrong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environmentProven ability to prioritise & execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and ability to communicate this to all technical and non-technical colleaguesExcellent organisational skills with experience of identifying, facilitating, and delivering events to a wide range of colleaguesTechnical requirements:SAP certification or actively working toward certification: SAP BPC Microsoft or BPC BW embedded, SAP Group Reporting, BW/4, SAP Analytics Cloud planning / BI, S/4Qualified or part qualified accountantBusiness Analysis qualification e.g. British Computer SocietyAbout FDMWe are a business and technology consultancy and one of the UK's leading employers, recruiting the brightest talent to become the innovators of tomorrow.
