SAP Functional Consultant

**Contract Role**Piccadilly One is working with a UK-based organisation looking to harmonize and improve its core ERP platform, SAP. This opportunity sits with the organisation’s Group Finance function with a reporting line to the IT Director.The SAP Functional Consultant will provide process and technical expertise to the Business and deliver support and advisory services about core business systems and applications, business process improvement, and applications architecture.The role will relate to improving and managing the Finance and Procurement solution in SAP as well as all functionally related applications (whether integrated or not).While predominantly business-facing and functional by nature, this role will also be the main point of contact within IT for all data and technical aspects related to its functional and application scope.Key Responsibilities:Provide definition, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Finance and Procurement solutions.Architect and design a group SAP Financial model.Develop, maintain, and deliver a functional and technical roadmap for the improvement of the SAP Financial and Procurement solution, focusing on solution value generation, and process efficiency.Identify, design, and implement relevant systems integrations to further improve and streamline business processes.Responsible for the management and coordination of SAP Finance (FICO, PS), SAP Procurement (MM) and related applications support activities.Where applicable and relevant, provide hands-on (3rd level) SAP and Business support.Responsible for the application architecture supporting Finance and Procurement processes and activities – ensure business process documentation is up to date, application lifecycles are managed and documented, application functional overlaps are minimised, and gaps addressed.Manage and deliver business and process improvement projects.Responsible for producing technical and functional specifications based on business requirements.Identify, design, and where relevant deliver key user and end-user training.Skills and Competences:SAP FICO Configuration – Expert LevelSAP MM/PS Configuration – Advanced LevelTechnical Data Management (Migration, Cleansing etc.)SAP ECC Configuration, Testing, Training and Support (PM, PS, MM)SAP S/4 Migration, Configuration and Support would be an advantageApplication Support and Management (outside of SAP)Application IntegrationKnowledge of Asset Management within complex engineering industriesBusiness and Technical Requirements AnalysisKnowledge of SAP Products and Roadmaps, SAP PM, S/4.Knowledge of SAP Development Concepts and Practice
