Job Title: Saw Operator

Location: Birmingham B76

Working Hours: 10:00pm to 08:00am Sunday to Wednesday 

Salary: £26,561.60

Duties:

• The Saw Operator should check material specifications and cut plans within customer tolerances before cutting, using tape, micrometres, and calliper instruments.
• Program the saw and conduct initial and random checks; perform 100% checks for C/29 (Bombardier).
• As a Saw Operator, you should perform daily maintenance on the saw and operate forklifts, jib cranes, and vac-lifts.
• Weigh cut pieces and remnants, ensuring they are on suitable pallets or skids.
• Ensure remnants are properly labelled and perform stock-taking duties as required.
• Maintain Quality standards throughout the operational process and assists and develops process improvements to drive forward.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is to possess the below as a Saw Operator:

• Follow the company’s health and safety policies and attend their trainings.
• The Saw Operator should be experience in operating machinery in metal processing or prior experience in a similar role.
• Good mathematical and IT skills.
• Experience with STELPLAN.
• Effective communication at all levels.
• Good teamwork skills to meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel, including overseas.
