Job Description:

As the School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our school facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school premises, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all our students and staff. Your duties will include:
  • Maintenance:�Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and decorating.
  • Cleaning:�Ensure that all areas of the school are clean, tidy, and well-presented, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.
  • Health & Safety:�Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Security:�Monitor the security of the school buildings and grounds, locking and unlocking premises as required.
  • Support:�Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events and activities.
  • Liaison:�Work closely with school staff and external contractors as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school setting.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic DIY skills and a willingness to learn.
