School HR Assistant

Days/hours: 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday

Birmingham

This is a temp to perm role for the right candidate

ArWe are looking for an experienced HR assistant to work with one of our partner schools in Birmingham. You will provide a high level of administration support to the school and ensure HR servies are delivered in a proactive, effective and efficient way.

We are looking for somebody who is highly committed and has a genuine passion for education for all and can be flexible and optimistic with all tasks. 

Responsibilities


  • To support with recruitment processes across the academies.
  • Assist with recording and tracking of job applications.
  • To ensure room and refreshments are ready before interviews take place.
  • To ensure new employee receive induction packs and required information.
  • To ensure all new starters have login details and ID cards.
  • Support the maintenance of a Single Central Register (SCR).
  • Ensure monthly holiday entitlement emails are sent to support staff.
  • Assist the HR officer with maintenance of confidential staff records.
  • Maintain an accurate filing system and process HR related paperwork.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person specification


  • Previous experience in a HR role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, writing and editing skills with the ability to build relationships with others.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • To work with accuracy and a high attention to detail.
  • High proficiency with Microsft Office.

Requirements


  • 5 GCSE A* - C or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child/child & adult DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A minimum of two professional references (three if neither is child-based) to cover the last 24 months.
