Affinity Workforce are looking for energetic individuals who are looking to work in an education setting. We are working with 4 schools across Castleford to secure people with a positive 'can-do' and bubbly attitudes to join primary and secondary school teams and make a real impact on the lives of the pupils
\n
Responsibilities:
\n
\n- Supporting children with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, mental health difficulties, ADHD and Down Syndrome
\n- Working with the class teacher and SENCo to construct impactful IEPs to make sure young people are getting the most out of their education
\n- Support 1:1 and adapt tasks in lessons to be accessible to children with additional needs and present tasks in a way that the child will enjoy and understand
\n- Fostering a supportive, positive and inclusive culture within the classroom, and promoting British Values and diversity/inclusion at all times
\n
\n
Requirements:
\n
\n- Experience working with children or young people - this doesn't need to be in an education setting! We operate a "will not skill" policy so it's all about personality!
\n- Transferrable skills - this can be from youth work, childcare, support work, residential childrens' home, sports coaching, and more! Anywhere that you've had to create positive relationships with children and developed an understanding of safeguarding
\n- A real team ethic - it takes a village!
