We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join our team at a secondary school in Bradford. This part-time position is to cover a long-term sickness absence, providing continuity and enthusiasm to our students three days per week.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or PGCE in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience teaching Chemistry in a secondary setting, with strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt lessons to suit a range of learning styles and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons aligned with the curriculum for KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring a strong understanding of scientific principles.
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students reach their potential.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
- Manage the classroom effectively to promote a positive and productive atmosphere for all learners.
