We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a team at a specialist school in the Ripon area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a through school teaching GCSE Science to learners with SEND.
In this role, you will:
- Work with students facing a variety of learning challenges, including those with ASD, ADHD and PMLD.
- Be responsible for teaching engaging and effective science lessons at GCSE level.
- Collaborate effectively with therapists, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
- Be part of a positive and supportive school culture where you can contribute your unique skills and experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a teacher, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with SEND, including experience in managing challenging behaviours.
- A commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
- The ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and build strong relationships with your class.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
