In the heart of St Albans, Hertfordshire an good Secondary School are on the hunt for a Science Teacher (ideally Biology, however the headteacher is open to all specialisms) for September 2025 start. This a permanent position (employed directly by the school)
The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Science Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.
At A level the faculty has over 50 high achieving students studying the sciences, with many studying two or more. At GCSE the top sets study the AQA Separate Science Course, and the rest follow the AQA Combined Science Course. The department has eight dedicated science labs and 4 prep rooms.
The school are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. Its an exciting time at the school!
Early Career Teacher of Science (ECT) will be enrolled onto the schools very own bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young & experienced teachers.

Must have QTS or QTLS
Strong academics across the board Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a Good or Outstanding level
You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers
