TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting locum Scrub Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) specialising in General Surgery for a temporary position in the East Midlands.

The ideal candidates will have expertise in procedures including hernias and laparoscopic cholecystectomies (lap choles). Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical procedure. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain a sterile operating environment. - Assist the surgical team during procedures involving hernias and lap choles. - Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are available and sterile. - Monitor the patient's condition and provide immediate support if needed. - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications: - Valid nursing registration (NMC) or ODP certification (HCPC). - Previous experience in General Surgery, specifically hernias and lap choles. - Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Rate £400 - £450 per day.
