Secondary Cover Teacher - Portsmouth

Join our team of Cover Teachers to start in September, supporting local Portsmouth Secondary schools.
An ideal role if you want a flexible working pattern but are still passionate about working in an educational setting for the progression and development of teenagers fast growing mind.
As a Secondary Cover Teacher in Portsmouth, you will be responsible for working with pupils age 11 to 16. You'll be expected to be organised, motivated and confident in working in varied settings.
Cover Teachers will pick up supply on a daily basis, often taking last minute morning calls or pre-booked work in Secondary Schools across Portsmouth.

Responsibilities of working as a Secondary Cover Teacher:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons
* Adapt to the students learning needs
* Being able to work effectively in a team and with school staff and pupils
* Excellent classroom/behaviour management and keeping an engaging environment
* Relay concise and clear feedback of the lesson
To work as a Secondary Cover Teacher you must have a UK recognised Teaching Qualification, ideally with QTS.
It's desirable that you have recent teaching experience in a UK Secondary School and have a strong commitment to working within the education sector. You must be local to Portsmouth and have or be willing to submit a DBS through Academics.
