Teacher Salary: £150 to £180 per day

GSL Education’s Newcastle branch are seeking a flexible and experienced Secondary Daily Supply Teacher to provide high-quality teaching across a range of subjects in various schools in Sunderland. In this role, you will step in to cover for absent teachers, ensuring continuity of learning while upholding school standards. The position involves more than just classroom management – you'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour, and contributing to student development.

Key Responsibilities for Secondary Daily Supply Teacher:

• Deliver well-structured lessons across various subjects and year groups (KS3-KS4).
• Step into the full teaching role, including lesson planning and assessment where required.
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and learning outcomes, creating a positive learning environment.
• Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and effective handovers.
• Be adaptable and able to quickly engage with different schools, students, and curricula.

Requirements for Secondary Daily Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and a proactive approach to handling different student needs.
• Ability to plan, prepare, and assess student work when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with school staff and ensure student progression.
• Flexibility to work in various schools and adapt to their unique cultures.
