Learning Support Assistant

Location: Stockport

Salary: £17000- £22000 per annum

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full Time

GSL Education are supporting a Secondary School in Stockport that needs a Learning Support Assistant to start ASAP on a full-time, permanent contract. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS3/KS4.

This secondary school has an excellent reputation in the local area. You’ll be working in an excellent provision, supporting pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they are staying on task and can access all lesson materials.

If you’re experienced working with young people and believe you can motivate young people, we encourage you to apply. We have previously placed people from Youth Work backgrounds, sports coaches and psychology graduates as they have all gained experience in working with young people in formal settings and have transferable skills to the role of learning support assistant.

Key Requirements:

Confident working with young people

Ability to inspire and motivate students

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for creating a positive and enriching learning environment

Have the right to work in the UK

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years

Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
