We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Secondary Science Teacher to join on of our esteemed educational institutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for fostering a stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking, curiosity, and discovery among students. In our diverse classroom settings, this individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality science instruction to students in KS3 and KS4, covering various topics including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the science curriculum, Education standards, and assessment practices, coupled with the ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods and hands-on experiments. Our Secondary Science Teacher will collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons, integrate technology into the classroom, and develop enriching science activities that excite students about the natural world. Additionally, this role requires a commitment to the school’s mission and vision, as well as a collaborative approach to working with parents and guardians to support student learning. Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging science curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and collaboration.
  • Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on experiments and technology integration, to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to design interdisciplinary lessons and participate in school-wide initiatives and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Stay informed of current scientific advancements and integrate relevant topics into lesson plans.


Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; QTS is a must
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and state assessments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and parents.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
