Tradewind are recruiting for a Secondary Teaching Assistant on behalf of an independent secondary school in the High Peak area for children aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs (SEMH).
To join us and be successful in this school based Secondary Teaching Assistant role in High Peak you will need to:
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
- Minimum of two professional references.
- Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Overseas Police certificates (only if applicable).
The job:
- Secondary Teaching Assistant at an SEMH high school in the High Peak area. Driver required.
- Start September 2024.
- Full time, Monday to Friday.
- 8:30am - 4pm each day.
- Temporary to Permanent basis.
- Pay up to £105/day DOE.
- Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies
- Equal pay to perm staff after 12th week.
- Supporting students aged 11-16.
- All children have an EHCP for special needs including SEMH and associated needs such as Autism, ADHD or SpLD such as Dyslexia.
- It will be your role to build relationships with your pupils, to understand their interests, triggers and obstacles to learning and help them to overcome them.
- You will learn new skills and develop as a specialist SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant.
- The school has strong links with outside agencies, parents and other schools and as such they are looking for a team player who can build relationships with other adults as well as pupils.
- You will need to be a driver to reach this location.
