Job Description: Lead Security ArchitectPosition Title: Lead Security ArchitectLocation: Remote/HybridDepartment: Information SecurityReports To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)Job Summary:The Lead Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of robust security systems and architectures within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills to ensure that the company’s information assets are protected from current and emerging threats.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Design:Develop and maintain the overall security architecture framework.Design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures to protect data and IT infrastructure.Create and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.Technical Leadership:Lead the design and implementation of security solutions across the organization.Conduct security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.Risk Management:Identify and assess security risks associated with IT projects and initiatives.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with IT, DevOps, and application development teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.Incident Response:Lead the response to security incidents and breaches.Conduct post-incident analysis to identify and address root causes.Experience:At least 5 years of experience in a security architect or similar role.Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in large-scale environments.Technical Skills:Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.Proficiency in security architecture frameworks (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent.
