p strong Please ensure that you have a valid SIA licence when applying for this position. /strong /p br Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role. br p strong The Role /strong /p p To carry out comprehensive Security and Safety duties, to ensure a safe environment for staff, customers, contractors, and visitors. /p p The Security Office role involves working permanent days, permanent nights and a mixture of days and nights when required. /p p strong Security: /strong /p p • Handles complaints, investigates and processes written reports on customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, vandalism and other relevant security incidents. /p p • Assist security team members in the apprehension of shoplifters in accordance with the Liberty policy and procedures /p p • To use and be fully conversant with the related software systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, fire system and any IT security equipment. /p p • To ensure that all customers, visitors, contractors, and staff feel safe at all times by showing a confident positive attitude towards your role. /p p • Deal with retail departmental queries related to security, and encourage departments to be security aware. /p p • Deal with all customers/visitors, staff and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner. /p p • Ensure completion of relevant procedures regarding store opening and closing duties. /p p strong Safety: /strong /p p • To maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of both Staff and Customers alike. /p p • Comply with and implement Emergency Procedures when required /p p • Respond in a professional manner to any first aid incidents and complete reports as required /p p strong Cash Office: /strong /p p • Open Cash Office and distribute cash bags /p p • E-mail daily reports for Sales Managers outlining cash discrepancies. /p p • Control and order change floats, issue change and ensure we have enough stock for shop floor needs /p p strong The Person /strong /p p The ideal candidate will have some experience within security, be customer-focused and able to maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of both Staff and Customers alike. /p p Good communication skills are key and a background in a similar role within retail would be an advantage. /p
