Job Title: Security Services and Support Manager
Location: Ealing, London - Onsite
Working Pattern: Full Time - 35 hours per week
Remuneration: Competitive salary
Contract Details: Temporary, 6-month contract - possible extension
Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, and develop a team of Security Team Leaders, Security Officers, Security controllers, and Reception Staff at our client's Corporate Head Office complex.
- Ensure all operational requirements and duty tasks are met and actioned.
- Review and continually audit service delivery to ensure adherence to SLAs, local security policies, procedures, and equipment.
- Manage resourcing within budget targets, including rostering, holiday, and training bookings to ensure sufficient site cover.
- Proactively manage staff sickness and absences, conducting return to work interviews and taking appropriate remedial action as required.
- Ensure all staff receive proper uniform and equipment, maintaining a high level of personal presentation and deportment at all times.
- Responsible for contract management activities, including SLA scoring, administration, work orders, and QA monitoring of outsourced services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Democratic Services and the Property Services Event team, providing suitable security planning and resourcing for activities and events across the estate.
- Complete and maintain H&S risk assessments and method statements for all security activities and work areas.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, building users, 3rd party service providers, and external agencies.
- Provide support to the Head of Security, covering the duties of the Security Operations Manager during absences.
- Respond to security-related or emergency incidents on the corporate estate, providing the lead response when required.
- Provide on-call cover one week in three, leading and managing the response to any security, safety, or environmental emergencies.
- Follow and complete any reasonable management instructions within the allocated timeframes.
Requirements:
- Experience managing security staff within a public-facing environment.
- Experience in 3rd party contract supply management, including administration, SLA scoring, ordering, and QA monitoring.
- Strong customer service experience and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Explorer.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to undertake dynamic risk assessments and make decisive decisions during incident responses.
- Effective interpersonal skills for engagement with staff, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for reporting on operational and service issues.
- Experience leading security team responses to incidents and emergencies.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, identifying options for service improvements.
- Ability to work on-call and during unsocial hours, as required.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and practises applicable to the role.
- Hold or working towards relevant licences and qualifications, such as SIA Door Supervisor and Public Space Surveillance Licence.
