We are seeking a dedicated and highly professional Security Supervisor to join our team and oversee security operations within Colchester Hospital. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring the highest level of service. The successful candidate will have an SIA (Security Industry Authority) certified badge and a strong understanding of security protocols, particularly in healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of security personnel on shift to ensure smooth and efficient operations.


• Monitor hospital premises, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas to maintain security and prevent unauthorized access.


• Respond to security incidents or emergencies, providing quick and effective solutions.


• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the hospital's staff, patients, and visitors.


• Maintain clear and accurate security logs and incident reports.


• Liaise with hospital staff, law enforcement, and other relevant authorities to ensure effective communication and coordination.


• Ensure compliance with hospital security policies and procedures at all times.


• Provide support in conflict resolution and de-escalate situations in a calm and professional manner.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor badge is mandatory.


• Strong communication skills and ability to manage a team effectively.


• Ability to remain calm and respond swiftly in high-pressure situations.


• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance, and access control.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.


• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
