Justteachers teaching agency are looking to recruit a Humanities Teacher to work within one of our partner schools offering alternative education to pupils unable to access mainstream education near Kings Lynn.
The role is to start April 2025 and ideally would be on a full-time basis, however .3 and 4 candidates will be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact with vulnerable pupils that can display challenging behaviour. The role is to teach pupils on a small group basis following their Individual Education and Behaviour Plan ensuring they work towards their learning and behaviour targets.
This specialist hub is part of a large academy trust providing beneficial shared facilities and a key focus on reintegration into mainstream education. The school will be looking to recruit a permanent staff member going forward and so this temporary post could become permanent should that interest the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will:
To succeed in this position, you will need to be a strong classroom practitioner who can engage with pupils and make an immediate impact to their education
Have the ability to differentiate to meet the needs of pupils working at a variety of levels is essential.
Be able to maintain pupil interest and differentiate to a variety of learning levels
Additionally, the candidate will be recording all progress and any incidents throughout the day and liaising with the teaching staff to discuss strategies to support the students learning in the future.
Key Requirements:
Hold a Teaching qualification
Two education/school-based references
Be empathetic, patient and understanding
Resilience and a good sense of humour
Previous experience of working with SEMH pupils/ Pupils displaying challenging behaviour would be advantageous but not essential.
