We arecurrently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teachers to join a SEND Provision.
The successful candidate will work with students aged between 12 and 18 years old, who require additional support due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as some behaviour challenges.
Role Description:
As a Teacher within the SEN Provision, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective education to secondary-aged pupils. Your role will involve designing and implementing curriculum-aligned lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. You will create a supportive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development.
Non-Negotiables:
Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Previous experience working with SEMH and challenging behaviour within an educational setting.
Must possess a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active participation.
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the holistic needs of students are met.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Relevant experience teaching construction within a secondary school setting.
Strong understanding of SEMH and behaviour management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
