Monarch Education is working with a school in Telford that is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
\nThe ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a proactive approach. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviours and providing emotional support to students who may require additional assistance.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nProvide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
\nAssist in the implementation and monitoring of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
\nPromote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through proactive support and guidance.
\nHelp students overcome barriers to learning, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.
\nSupport the development of social and emotional skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
\nAssist with classroom management, promoting positive interactions and behaviour among peers.
