About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in an SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs. Your main responsibilities will include:
> Assisting with classroom activities and educational programs.
> Providing one-on-one support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
> Managing and supporting challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
> Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have:
> Previous experience working in SEMH, SEN, or a similar educational setting.
> A high level of resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
> A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young people.
Requirements:
> Relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
> Strong understanding of SEMH and related behavioural strategies.
> Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
> A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
