Semi Senior Tax Accountant (Personal Tax) 

Salary: £35,000 + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in a comprehensive range of services for small and medium-sized businesses.

The Role:

As a Semi Senior Tax Accountant, you will prepare a variety of accounts, including those for companies, self-employed individuals, and rental properties.

Responsibilities:

• Handle personal and company tax returns.
• Learn and adapt to new software packages as needed.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to senior management.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
• Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.
• Promptly liaise with HMRC to address tax queries.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Collaborate with outsourced teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients via phone, email, and letters.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
• At least 5 years of accountancy practice experience.
• ACCA part qualified.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
