Our client is looking for candidates with some experience of using hand tools such as Torque wrenches who can follow mechanical drawings/ Instructions.
The role is workshop based in Crewe. Its a long term, on-going contract.
Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (Training and Up skilling Provided)

Shifts: Mon-Fri 8am 4.30pm (With Flexibility to work shifts)
Hourly Rate: £15.44 PAYE / £19.47
(Umbrella Training rate for first approx. 6 weeks)
£17.55 PAYE / £22.22 Umbrella (Post training)
Hours Per Week: 37
Duration: Ongoing
Start Date: September 2024

Position Summary:
Completing Mechanical Overhaul of Rail Bogies. Candidates will be required to carry out the following duties:
• Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering
• Wheel set overhaul, repair and analysis
• Bogie and gearbox engineering / repair
• Wheel exchange on wheel sets
• Components and sub-assemblies overhaul repair and analysis
• Heavy mechanical fitting to safety critical standards
