SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney
Salary: �90-�95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: After Easter
A respected secondary school in Hackney is looking for a committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support students with additional needs and contribute to their educational and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class and small group support for students with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Assist in adapting lesson plans and materials to meet individual needs
Encourage positive behaviour and support the development of social and communication skills
Work with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Track student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in inclusive education and student wellbeing
