Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary), depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, aiding their learning and development.
• Assist students in both classroom and community settings to help them achieve their educational and personal goals.
• Promote an inclusive environment that fosters equality, respect, and positive learning experiences.
• Encourage independence and facilitate students' social and emotional growth through engaging activities.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support, including personal care and physical interventions when required.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in their educational journey.
• Is patient, proactive, and determined to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Is creative, adaptable, and solution-focused when facing challenges.
• Has strong communication skills, particularly with students who have specific communication needs.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
• Holds a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Is eager to pursue further training and qualifications, which will be fully funded by us.
