We are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist setting in the Wallington, Croydon area, supporting children aged 5 to 16 with PDA and additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.
Role Details:
- Location: Wallington, Croydon
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
- Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Providing individualised support to children with PDA, helping them engage in learning
- Implementing strategies to reduce anxiety and promote positive interactions
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to create a supportive learning environment
- Encouraging emotional regulation and social development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with PDA, ASD, or other SEN
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- A passion for supporting children with complex needs
