**Job Title: SEN School Admin Assistant & Receptionist.

**Hourly Rate:  £13 - £15

Outstanding SEND School is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN School Admin Assistant & Receptionist.  This temp to perm position is to commence in September 2024.

The ideal SEN School Admin Assistant & Receptionist will have a background in school administration and reception duties, combined with excellent IT skills to support the school's operations efficiently.


  • You live in easy commutable distance to The London Borough of Bromley
  • You either have an Enhanced DBS OR able to pay for a new one immediately.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and students at the reception desk, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Maintain student records, attendance registers, and other school databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of school communications, newsletters, and notices.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, including arranging necessary facilities and materials.
  • Support the SEN team with administrative tasks, including the preparation of reports and documentation related to student support plans and assessments.
  • Handle the ordering and inventory of office supplies and educational materials.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding and data protection.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
  • Assist with the administration of school admissions, transfers, and leavers processes.
  • Proven experience in school administration and reception duties, preferably within an SEN environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and school management software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
    • A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting the school's ethos and values.
