SEN Science Teacher

Position: SEN Science Teacher
Location: Slough, SL4
Annual Salary: £36,413 - £53,994 + SEN1 + Excellent benefits
Contract: Tempt to Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only

Our teachers are motivated by making even the smallest positive impact on our young people, so we take pride in celebrating the little milestones. There are many challenges along the way, and for some of our students, just being present in a lesson can be a significant achievement. We refer to these as "huge small victories." Though they may seem minor at first glance, together they create a lasting impact.

Ideal Candidate:

As a SEN Science Teacher, you'll go beyond the classroom by connecting with our pupils because of:

  • Your 'can do' attitude-as a team player, you're always ready to roll up your sleeves and support others.
  • Your genuine passion for teaching and the transformative impact your subject can have on young lives.
  • The ability to relate your subject to each pupil, building strong relationships within your classroom.
  • Your enthusiasm and expertise to strengthen and grow your department.
  • You'll also bring previous teaching experience and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Get out what you put in

You'll be working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, supporting their learning, development, and boosting their self-confidence. This role requires resilience and dedication, but the "huge small victories" you'll achieve will be something to take great pride in.

Though the journey can be challenging, the progress you help students make will more than outweigh the difficulties. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you'll receive comprehensive support-from in-house psychologists to teaching assistants and therapy professionals. You'll be surrounded by exceptional colleagues, work in well-equipped school environments, and we'll be with you every step of the way, ensuring you build a fulfilling and successful teaching career.
