Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment, encouraging social interaction and development.
  • Assist with classroom management and support the emotional and social development of students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCo.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to support the holistic development of each child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally within an independent or international school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and experience supporting children with various needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
