About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Crosby, Liverpool. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in working with children with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning.
As an SEN TA, you will:
Support students with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH difficulties
Work one-to-one and in small groups to ensure all students can access the curriculum
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans
Use a patient and proactive approach to help children develop confidence and independence
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who have:
Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and support students
A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Eligibility Requirements
Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Two professional references related to working with children
