Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in South Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping students engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN.
Assist the class teacher in differentiating lessons to meet individual needs.
Support children with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.
Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to implement individual learning plans (IEPs).
Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist with personal care and sensory support where required.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
