We are currently seeking an�experienced SEND Teacher�to join our welcoming and supportive team at a mainstream school in�Smethwick. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a small group of�KS2 pupils, all of whom are working at�Year 1/2 levels�due to their additional needs.
Role Overview:
- Position:�SEND Teacher (KS2)
- Location:�Smethwick
- Days:�4 days a week (Monday to Friday)
- Class Size:�Approximately 10 pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Support:�You will be supported by Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who will work alongside you in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the specific needs of pupils with additional needs.
- Manage and support a small group of KS2 pupils working at Year 1/2 levels.
- Collaborate effectively with LSAs and other staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Use your experience and knowledge to adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the varied needs of the pupils.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)�is essential.
- Proven experience working with pupils with additional needs in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND and the ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
