Academics Rochester are working with 'Good' Ofsted rated Primary Schools, who are seeking a supportive and motivational SEN Teacher.
As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to primary-aged children with a range of special educational needs.
Your role will involve creating and implementing individualised education plans, collaborating with parents and professionals, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers and staff
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support student learning
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and participate in regular reviews and assessments
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education
Qualification and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
- Really good behaviour management skills
- Proven experience in teaching children with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload
