Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team starting in September. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working within SEN settings and be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. This full-time role involves teaching and supporting pupils in our SEN base, collaborating with the wider school community to ensure the best outcomes for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing personalised feedback and strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Engage with parents and carers to ensure open communication and a cohesive approach to each child's education.
  • Participate in school events, activities, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in an SEN school or specialised SEN base within a mainstream school.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
