About the Role:
We are looking for flexible and dedicated SEN Supply Teachers to work on an as-needed basis in primary schools across Selby. As an SEN Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring they receive quality, individualized education that empowers them to reach their potential.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of SEN students in Key Stages 1 and 2.
Collaborate with school staff and SEN coordinators to implement individualized learning plans (ILPs).
Quickly adapt to new school environments and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Use effective behaviour management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and families to provide a cohesive support system for each student.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching.
Solid understanding of SEN best practices, including differentiated instruction and behaviour management strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and families.
Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
