Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Assistant to join a fantastic school in SO16. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or challenging behaviours, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

        • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
        • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
        • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
        • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
        • Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource management.
        • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
        • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

    Hours - 8:30am-3:30pm (hours may vary)


    Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

        • Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
  • To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

    • Hold right to work in the UK
    • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
    • Provide references upon request
    • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
