Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Central / South Birmingham

Salary: �80 - �90 per day. Dependent on experience.

Contract Type: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Start Date: Immediately

Job Description: This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing an opportunity to significantly impact their academic and social growth. You will deliver targeted interventions to aid pupils' personal development, boost their confidence, and enhance their overall wellbeing within the school environment. Strong skills in managing challenging behaviours, backed by a solid understanding of effective behaviour management techniques, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enhance their academic and social development.
  • Implement focused interventions to promote pupils' personal growth, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively using established behaviour management techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet individual needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and respond to the unique needs of each pupil
