Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Thurrock
Salary: �85- �100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Start Date: Interviewing as soon as possible for now and to start after easter half term.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for children with SEN, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with SEN in both group and one-to-one settings.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Provide emotional and behavioural support to help children engage with their learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support the child's development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback as needed.

About You:
We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives.
• Patient, caring, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to inclusion and equality.
• Willing to learn and develop skills in supporting children with SEN.

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN.
• Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with additional needs.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
