Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth. About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.
Your role will include:
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN.
* Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Supporting pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils.
* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
About You:
* Graduates preferred but the position is open to those with alternative qualifications.
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and work flexibly.
* A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality.
