Hours - 8am – 3:30pm

A highly-regarded Primary SEN School in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time starting in September 2024. This long-term position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the School: The school is a small, specialised SEN Primary School with 50 students aged 5-11. It has been rated 'Good' with Outstanding features by Ofsted. The school focuses on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children's learning and development both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include holding 1:1 and small group intervention sessions, providing 1:1 reading support, and promoting and encouraging good behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have experience working with children with complex needs.
  • Be extremely resilient and patient.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Provide two years’ worth of references.
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
