SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in Lambeth, starting September 3rd, 2024.

Position Details:

• Start Date: September 2nd, 2024
• Contract: Full-time
• Hours: 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM
• Salary: �85-95 per day

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with special needs in the classroom.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior strategies.
• Provide one-on-one support to ensure student engagement.
• Monitor and report student progress.
• Foster positive social interactions among students.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant preferred.
• Passion for working with special needs students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations.
• Willing to undergo relevant training.
• Flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Graduate or experience working with children or young people.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references covering the last 10 years required.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
